G'day all
I thought I would highlight a recent issue that I came across in regards to latest nvidia Linux drivers breaking OpenGL when Xinerama is being used with the proprietary NVIDIA drivers.
Anyway - Kudos to Doug Kosovic, who highlighted the fact that "As of August 2013, Xinerama is broken when using the proprietary NVIDIA driver from 319 upwards".
As a suggestion - don't be in a hurry to update your nvidia drivers, as this will break OpenGL applications (glxgears for example).
If you have update already, what I did to fix this issue was to:
* So I removed the nvidia drivers using "yum remove kmod-nvidia" ; and then
* Installed older drivers that I downloaded from the nvidia website (I used http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux-amd64-display-archive.html Version: 319.49) which seems okay.
o I had to install the drivers without a x Server running, so "init 3" ensured this.
Anyway - thought this might be useful to so of you out there running Linux Access Grids.
Cheers,
Jason.
